Official artwork for HousePlants’ debut album “Dry Goods”, the new collaborative album by Paul Noonan (Bell X1) and Daithi. 3-colour screen print was hand-printed by Damn Fine Print, Dublin, during March ’20. Printed in an edition of 10 signed and numbered prints on to archival 300gm paper stock, print size is 47 x 47cm (image size is 45 x 45cm with 1cm border).
The brief for the album sleeve was to have “an abstract geometric cover image that can be stripped for parts, maybe collage-like, so we can use different elements for different songs from the record.” The image draws upon the loose and electronic nature of the music, while also reflecting its defiant and uplifting nature.
*note on shipping: prints will be posted flat, so the price is higher than usual since it’s not possible to roll them into tubes which would normally reduce shipping costs.
*note on price: as I usually print much larger editions (from 50 up to 100+) the cost of a screen print isn’t as high, the price here is a reflection of the small edition size.
