Notes: Poster for Bell X1 with Dowry Strings’ three dates at Live At St. Luke’s, Cork on April 14th, 15th and 16th. Each poster is a 3-colour screen print (pale turquoise, pale orange, black on ivory paper) handprinted on to splendorgel avorio 300gm paper stock, signed and numbered in an edition of 100 prints.

When talking about the poster, Paul described Dowry Strings as “the rug that ties the room together…maybe there’s something in this, a tapestry…” We looked through various tilings and patterns and sifted through examples from historic tilework and textiles from various books. The notion of symmetry was always important, as Paul talked about the importance of the crescent formation, when playing live, so each musician can see one another.
